SOUND ABSORBERS
Sound absorbers reduce reverberation and echo to improve speech intelligibility and music clarity. Sound absorption materials are generally lightweight, thick and porous. These materials vary, in thickness and shape, to fit specific sound control requirements from bass traps to high frequency control. When combined with barrier materials, absorbers work to isolate, or "soundproof", an acoustical space from outside noise as well as prevent interior sound from escaping.

SOUND DIFFUSERS
Diffusers scatter sound rather than absorbing it. Diffusion lessens the intensity of sound by dispersing and redirecting its energy over an expanded area. A diffusive room will sound larger and more open with improved clarity.

NOISE BARRIERS AND VIBRATION CONTROL
Noise and sound barriers are dense, massive, heavy materials used to block the transmission of airborne sound, such as conversation, music, and traffic noise, through walls. Barrier materials can be aided by the use of absorbers, resilient clips, isolation hangers, vibration pads and floor underlayment. These materials combine to isolate noise at its source and prevent structure-borne transmission of sound through building vibration.
